Focus on youth and entrepreneurship
The campaign's messages are aimed in particular at young Europeans, encouraging them to take advantage of the programmes and grants offered by the European Union. "NextGenerationEU" is the biggest economic recovery project in the history of the EU and aims to promote green growth, digital prosperity and social cohesion. In Estonia, a total of €3.4 billion in Structural Fund support and €953 million in Restoration Fund resources will be channelled between 2021-2027 to make living and business environments more sustainable and digital and to strengthen the competitiveness of the economy.
The campaign's message supports a number of key areas
Health - BETTER HEALTH FOR EUROPE
Together we make our health systems more resilient. With NextGenerationEU, we will have better access to treatment.
Education - RENEWING EDUCATION IN EUROPE
Together, we are preparing young Europeans for the future. With NextGenerationEU, we will make good education available at every level.
Skills - SHIFTING SKILLS IN EUROPE
Together, we will give Europeans the skills they need for the jobs of the future. NextGenerationEU supports training programmes to promote green and digital skills.
Entrepreneurship - CREATING EUROPE'S BUSINESSES
Together, we will make sure that Europe's businesses can thrive and create jobs. With NextGenerationEU, we support the expansion and innovation of small businesses.
Local projects and initiatives
In Estonia, NextGenerationEU has launched a number of projects in different areas. For example, Elering has received €36.2 million in support for the development of the electricity grid to improve the reliability of energy supply and support green electricity. In addition, investments are targeted at agriculture, transport, energy, digital economy, education, health to improve quality of life and economic competitiveness.
